Three falls ago I moved here. And so as the weather gets colder, besides the usual thrill trained of so many old new school years, I feel the echoes of the excitement I felt when first I fell in here.
Of course one’s expectations are never vindicated by the present’s onrush. And of course that’s a good thing.
I’m sure I’ll miss many things here, no matter how happy I am in the next place. I’ll miss my friends. And I’ll miss these mild fall days, leafy smells, and quiet bike rides home in the sun.
